Working for the military-industrial complex?

I was recently contacted by a headhunter for a major defence & security company. Not saying which one, but think of names like Thales, BAE, or Raytheon.

Working for them would at least double my current salary, but... While my work would not be directly related to building things that kill people and destroy stuff at max efficiency, I would be contributing to surveillance and security activities. In the end, you can't fully separate those from the killing business, because they are often integrated.

So, now I'm seriously undecided. Today I feel too old to give a fuck about the ethical issues, but yesterday I felt the other way around and almost turned them down. Funny that it was my wife who talked me out of doing that. I guess she'd love the money. :)
