That is my arm now; broken for 7 months User ID: 77448100 United States 04/29/2019 07:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You don't need GPS to locate a phone. In example mine typically is linked to between five and seven cell sites. Via triangulation it's location is accurate within a few feet. This you can confirm by installing the free application "LTE Discovery" if you've an Android phone, it shows all cell sites currently linked to your phone and even shows an arrow pointing at the one currently handling your calls. Link to app download - [link to play.google.com (secure)] Might I add that even without GPS active if you use WiFi, you have given up your location via the WiFi hot spot you use. As for the battery, while some will see it's non-remove ability as nefarious, it actually serves a purpose: phones newer than ~ four years have glass backs instead of plastic backs and are hermetically sealed against water intrusion. I've lost more than one phone to water damage, now I can drop mine in a pool or river and just wipe it off and it keeps going. The removable battery and its associated door caused irreparable damage to countless phones by water intrusion. +5, great topic OP! I only needed about 70 of the +300 routines to have a Secure Phone. Cell site triangulation and Wi-Fi ID'ing not included. The deleted routines were all spyware and monitoring. Something as simple as Voice to Text is even routed to the goog servers for surveillance, but that's how they make the $$$.
