Not sure why I wasn't vaccinated against it. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1798195 Hmmm. Apparently, there was no chickenpox vaccine until 1995. That dormant chickenpox is what causes shingles later in life. the vaccine puts chickenpox in your body what does that mean? you can still get shingles even if you have had the chicken pox vaccine now they want you to have another vaccine against shingles I had chickenpox when I was a kid...I survived I got shingles about 20 years ago after having pneumonia and my defense system was weak Shingles is not a death sentence either it is painful and ugly but not deadly You are contagious for chickenpox when you have shingles...those rashes and blisters are dripping the virus shingles don't itch like chickenpox though it felt like I had been hit with a baseball bat wherever there was a patch of blisters....not itchy...extreme pain. There are around 100 deaths per year from chicken pox, while in flu season 2017-2018 80,000 died from the flu. *** Good deeds bring rewards, bad actions bring troubles. And get better. And not have side effects from poisonous shots. The Devil tries to convince everyone he doesn't exist. The state tries to convince everyone they cannot resist.
