If your love is not hung upon the Source of love, it will falter and die.

Because love is WORK. It means doing loving actions when you are not at all feeling warm and fuzzy toward someone or a group of individuals.

Moreover, love is simply a biological, chemical cascade in a universe absent of God.

Bringing it back will only lead to more evil, because it does not point to God, despite the fuzzy "love" packaging.

Your love is not eternal, and is thus deficient. It will run out.

God's love is eternal and perfect, thus being the only true source from which you can draw without becoming empty. He endlessly refills you through the Holy Spirit.
