Geographic pole shifts very likely happen and some fairly rational people guess Dec of this year is a possible time but really, why bother?

Nobody knows if it will really happen or when it might and if it does happen then the aftermath of industrialized society suddenly ending is hell on Earth.

How would one eat once the rations run out? Most exposed ground would be either scraped down to bedrock, salted or glazed and it takes a while to grow food anyway.

Most animals would be gone and hunting the remainders only last so long.

We survived before somehow, assuming shifts happen, but it was likely due to total luck or outside help.
