Re: Music Therapy?
It's interesting to me how the ancients used music for all kinds of benefits..

Also, it's been proven to help us either mentally, physically or emotionally depending on what we are "using" music for...

I believe we should bring the art of music back into our lives more as in this day and age, it can get quite stressful with working and daily life in general...

This will lower a lot of people's blood pressures and help them with any health problems should they just take at least 10 minutes a day to unwind with some music..

A friendlier and less stressful society.. :-)..

I'm listening to some nice, "unwinding" music atm...

I agree.
Well said. hf

Here is a good one:

Humpback whale and sea sounds meditation.

Enjoy!

Thank you :-)..

Yes, that's very relaxing hf

I like it :-)..I've heard and listen to similar sounds sometimes...

I have schizophrenia and after reading an article about carbs/gluten I've cut them out almost entirely and my panic attacks have gotten so much better, let me tell you. I don't mean to think you have my mental illness lol but just passing it along in case the info helps you or someone else.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77217335

Thank you for stating that... have you tried meditation? You may benefit from that with some relaxing music..

Thank you! :-)..

Yes, I've read up on this also...
I find this would be very beneficial to our health in healing hf

I just think people should become more aware of more natural healing remedies that would benefit our health... in mind, physically and emotionally...

Align our frequencies, you know...

I know meditative music would be a start at least.. :-)..

Start off slowly but surely... just getting the thought out there for anyone interested...

Thank you for the link.. I agree that it's useful..

I know that in a lot of ways, music has helped me (depending on the music) in a lot of ways...

I have worked with it a lot and have come to find that this definitely benefits us.. it is proven to benefit us as well ...

I particularly like the pineal gland meditative music... I've always been "sensitive" to auras/energies but I find this type of music very helpful to me.. it helps me handle the fact of being "sensitive" to the energies, so, just getting this out there...

The benefits of music, when used correctly :-)..

Well, yes :-)..

Music helps release the DMT in our brains so I guess you're right..

You could call it DMT therapy but music has a big factor in it, I would say :-)..

I think that vibrations and frequency are powerful enough to cure cancer and other illness...

I love the theory about stonehenge... Where it was a place of healing through musical medicine

[link to www.ancient-origins.net (secure)]

Researchers reveal Stonehenge stones hold incredible musical properties

"A team of researchers from London’s Royal College of Art (RCA) have discovered that the stones used to construct Stonehenge hold musical properties and when struck, sound like bells, drums and gongs. It is suggested that these properties could be the reason why the builders were willing to travel so far to source the stones from Wales and bring them to the site in Salisbury Plain, England."

Re: Music Therapy?
The basic principle of the universe... everything is a result of frequency and vibration. Every single piece of matter is vibrating, even if it looks stationary to the human eye. Some ancient cultures say that God sung the universe into creation. It's a cool thought. To keep the balance and reality of it all - God sure can hold a note for a loooooong time heheh

Music is sophisticated sorcery of sorts lol

Sounds that can manipulate consciousness. Extremely powerful stuff

Re: Music Therapy?
Music is a powerful tool, yes :-).. it affects us all in different ways...the key is to find the "right" or correct type of music frequency that is on par with our own electrical/biometric frequency/energy level for us to be able to benefit from it :-).. I believe...

You can "up" your frequencies with the right type of music/tones when you're ready... this has been known for centuries but forgotten in some parts around the world.. mainly the western region...

It would and does benefit us all if used correctly :-)..

Thank you all for your contributions..

Re: Music Therapy?
Not sure if therapy. This is my first synth I decided to buy ( this isnt me ) All in all making music or putting stuff together might be a challenge ( ie, sampling and building vs live or a combination) At the mo I find it more of a synth that could use a beat from elsewhere. It sometimes speaks to you but you can find yourself in a loop. I will see what a system around an ipad can do. If not then its just experimental.

In a therapuetical sense? Well, that all depends on the person themselves and depending on where their energy/frequency levels stand at... it could be beneficial to some :-)...

It's nice to practice and play around with/experiment with music...

It's just that little seed that gets planted into your mind, helps you understand how you could benefit from music therapy that counts...

From there, who knows? :-)...

We all have our own preferences depending on where we stand in our own frequencies in our brains but either way, it's beneficial and has been proven to help us...

Again, thank you..

I see youse guyses talking about meditation. This following vid does have music in the background, but it's a guided meditation.

You might need to do this meditation first, to prepare yourself for the rest of what y'all are talking about and Music Therapy!

Re: Music Therapy?
Anyone heard of or tried music therapy?

I've looked into it all and have tried it out, firstly starting off with it in my meditations, just light melodic music first and then onto binaural beats...
I have noticed a significant change in my awareness levels becoming more crystal clear in my meditations and in my daily waking life...

I'm a massive sufferer of anxiety and panic attacks.. I have noticed by "tuning in" in my meditations whilst using music, that my stress levels have lowered and I've not felt anxious as much as I used to...I've noticed my blood pressure has lowered too to a certain extent..

I really do believe there may be some truth to this using music therapy and there are many benefits to our mental, physical and emotional health...

It's been being used for centuries and there have been reports of significant changes in people's mental health as well as emotionally and physically...

Anyways, just putting it out there to any who are interested :-)...

You're very welcome :)

It is easily understandable what he says on the video but it does take a conscious effort every morning to remember it and apply it.
But if you do manage to do that you find your mind and body does mysteriously change and you'll never look backwards again.
I understand the past is only something all of us have to actually go on and making decisions is also based on past experiences, but to make the changes just making a conscious effort to apply what he says every morning and throughout the day can produce the results we all desire in life.

I wish you every success and thankyou for allowing me to post on your thread, even if I am a few months to late finding it!

Kind regards
