The Common Sense Solution to the Abortion Issue

There exists in my opinion a common sense solution to the abortion issue. Of course, like most issues open to debate these days, the extreme positions usually take center stage, much to the detriment of our society.

Given this, the fetus pretty much takes human form and can only survive outside the uterus at approximately the 24 week(6 month stage). If you study pictures from the womb of a pregnant women, you will see that prior to this, the embryo cannot be described as human in appearance. As such, a woman should not be permitted to have an abortion after the 24 week period unless her life is in danger. Moreover, if she couldn't decide whether she wanted to have the baby by 24 weeks, chances are she shouldn't have had one in the first place IMHO and probably wouldn't make a good parent as well. Quite a few states already have this law on the books by the way.
