It looked like it was constructed in the 60s or 70s No good trails or roads lead to it and I wondered how it was built and why but it was the 60s and it was a seriously goofy time |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30671160 I would like to hear if anyone here has any bizarre or scary experiences passing through these places in their lives. The only personal one I can think of off hand is a time when my buddy and I got stoned and were driving around and took a wrong exit off the freeway. Ended up down in this strange little community in a valley between some hills. Place seemed very odd and empty and a little too "perfect". We were wondering where the hell we were and what all these buildings and roads were doing in this little middle of nowhere place, we were also stoned and a little paranoid, and then we see people being driven around in these little trams like the type they have in the parking lots at Disneyland. People just seemed blissfully unaware and staring off into space and we were like "WTF is this dude?? Is this some cult compound or what???" We turned our stoned asses around and drove out and got back on the freeway and out of there. Looked it up later and found out it was a place for mentally insane people to be rehabilitated and hopefully integrated back into society as some point. This little mini-town was all insane people and staff who work there and try to use it as a sort of "practice town". Still got some really weird energy driving around that place. Utah is all like that. Creepy Mormon vibe everywhere. They do not like anyone else. |

It was seriously fucked up. The fire department would let your house burn down if they didn't like you. An Asian family who opened up a restaurant were forced to flee due to racism. The principal of the high school got caught abusing a farm animal with one of the students. There were reports that people would kidnap other people for the weekend for kicks. Seriously crazy shit in that town. We lasted a year and a half before my Mom and Dad sold the property and got the fuck out. |

We were traveling in Arizona when my mom saw an off ramp sign for "Bumblebee" and said, "that sounds interesting... Let's check it out!". My dad took the exit. It took a while to go through the climbing, winding road. We finally got to Bumblebee, AZ. There was a sign when we got there that said, "Bumblebee - closed to the public. Water not safe for human consumption." We got the hell outta there. Do an image search for Bumblebee, AZ. All I'll say is, I was lost on US-82 at dusk, phone kept dying, lost all signal, was trying to make it to 75, but the route ended up taking longer than I expected. Nothing like speeding up and down two lane hills trying to memorize the travel trajectory before phone dies again, and you gotta remove the battery because you're a cheap ass who broke his phone, and has to Gerry rig the damn thing in order to charge. Anonymous Coward User ID: 76166978 United States 06/03/2019 07:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I did a ghost tour in viginia city once and when we arrived we were the only people on the tour with this creepy old man host. So he walked us through the whole tour all around the city and the last destination was an old hospital, no longer in use. This old strange man locked us in the hospital all by ourselves to ghost hunt or really just walk around by ourselves but we were there alone set apart from the people who actually live there. This wasn’t a tourist time so the little city was pretty well empty. So it’s night time and we are alone walking around and I can’t help but think if we are murdered here nobody would know where we were or that we were even there. When he locked us in the building he left a knife on the counter and told us to use it if we needed it. Most of the lighting was off and the atmosphere was creepy enough but then I wondered if he was watching us on cameras from a nearby building. My suspicions on this were confirmed when I told my husband I had had enough of the hospital and shortly after the man came walking back. Of course I made it out ok but the whole thing was eerie. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 77086501 United States 06/03/2019 07:04 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Weirdest place I ever visited was on River Road between New Orleans and Baton Rouge. It was late at night and everything was closed. I needed cigarettes and a bathroom./ My friend and I saw a little bar on the side of the road with cars and trucks in the parking lot. We walked in and regretted it immediately. The whole bar got quiet. I asked for change for the cigarette machine and realized the whole place, SERIOUSLY, was full of cob webs like no one had ever walked through it. There were taxidermy animals all over the place. Not just the walls. I didn't even use the bathroom, we just got the cigarettes and got the hell out of there. |

Talk about negromancy. The hoodoo was poignant. Needless to say, I didn't slow down. Being unarmed, it's a hopeless fear that comes over you. "Fuck, I could die out here, and whose going to know?" My job at the time took me to Walmart Harrisburg Ill. Before leaving I needed to make a pit stop in the men's room. So, I'm standing there taking care of business. There's this guy sitting in the stall next to me. Suddenly this guy starts to moan. And it's getting louder and louder. Then the walls start to vibrate. Finally shaking so hard I thought they were going to fall down. I was shaking little man as I ran out the door. |

Nothing but old half-blown down buildings from the gold mining days out there....and our tiny community of houses way out in the middle of it. There was a trailer next door that I was told was abandoned. The first night I moved in, my security light on that side of my house got smashed. Then my chickens started going missing. One day we got up the nerve to go over there. Peeked in the window. There was a man in there who looked so decomposed that he could have played a zombie in a high definition movie and been completely believable. But he was still breathing, and looking right at us. I never slept right again. Last Edited by TlvmmCpoft on 06/03/2019 07:24 PM I don't know what lies they told you, but I can promise they were lies.
