Mall World has its own official music genre now......

For those of you unfamiliar with mallsoft music, it is basically a haunting and re-imagined version of the old easy listening background music popular in malls during the late 80s and 90s. This genre is both a critique of the consumer culture of those times while also longing for the sense of simplicity and innocence of those days long ago.

It is a form of vaporwave music. It is also seems to be the official soundtrack of Mall World if you think about it! People are all being transported to this strange, ethereal mall setting that seems to be in another plane of existence and just beyond this world.
