They are going to add aluminum to your drinking water to get the fluoride (that they put in it) out of it. What could go wrong? I don't know about you, but I don't want any more aluminum in my body! I sure as hell don't want aluminum is my kids, or grand kids!

For the years that we've known the bad shit about fluoride in the water supply, Unbelievably, in 2011 Gov Beebe of Arkansas signed a bill FORCING the fluoridation of all municipal water supplies for communities over 5000 people. The story is from 2013. That was a long time ago.

Distillation is the best way to get pure water, but you loose the minerals. Find a local spring and filter it in a Berkey. Fluoride is a dangerous ion. If you must drink it, put a lot of iodine in your diet. Seriously - a lot.

The mechanism suggested in the article to remove fluroide is ridiculous, like saying to get rid of mosquitos by rubbing depleted uranium all over your body.

But the fluoride issue is a bit more complex than everyone on this thread is debating. Or rather not debating.

Do you know why we need it in the water?

- it's not crowd control
- it's not numbing the masses, or dumbing them down
- it's not for our teeth
- it's not slow poisoning
- it's not a ponzi scheme or aluminium delivery mechanism....

The reason is 'how we chose to live'. In cities.

We want convenience. We want to turn on a tap and have clear, clean water come out.

This has been a basic 'right' for modern city dwellers for over a hundred years in most cases, some older than that. We pay taxes to enable it, and in the most part we trust our regulators to do the right thing. We entrust them to enforce, maintain, and provide this service from rain drop to glass.

To supply a huge volume for agriculture, industry and general consumption, we have to have a huge reservoir, or multiple reservoirs, lakes and river sources. The water is not clean. You wouldn't drink it as is. It gets filtered many times, UV screened, chemically screened, oxygenated, and many other forms of screening that remove particulates to a point where it is safe for human consumption, and high quality enough for the average Joe not to complain about smell or colour.

But that's not the point where it is fluoridated, or why it's fluoridated.

To get the water to us as conveniently as possible, we have massive pipelines that undergo reductions in size as they get closer and closer to populations, ultimately leading to our homes and the pipe systems within them.

From treatment source, to internal tap in our home, the pipe lines are a mixture of natural rock, fired clay, cement, cast iron, PVC, copper, brass and LEAD. Many junctions are cast iron and LEAD. Many pipes leading to homes are LEAD. Most homes are a combination of lead, cast iron, copper and brass fittings.

Depending on how old the city is, and how old it's infrastructure is, the pipeline system will most likely be a combo of clay, lead and cast iron. When these water systems were installed, we had horse and buggy, wide roads, low traffic, and sparce buildings. It was a great idea to lay these pipes below the road surfaces, so as not to intrude on dwellings. It's why we have man hole covers etc.

The water in YOUR pipes, is the same water within the entire system, and has traveled hundreds if not thousands of miles around the system to get to your home. You have no say in where it has come from, traveled through, even if you updated your home pipe system to copper.

But even copper isn't a good thing to drink out of, or from.

So, we want convenience, and we get it, but the system is made up of old and new pipes, some lead, some cast iron, some copper, some PVC, some clay, some concrete, buried in areas that would cause a great deal of disruption and cost to the city, to unearth and replace. The people who built the system in the first place were aware of such things as lead and copper poisoning, where the elements leech into the water supply and took steps to avoid this.

They added fluoride in minute doses.

What fluoride does in a pipe system, especially in iron, copper and most importantly lead, is to create a micron thick 'scale'. This scale creates a barrier between the water and the metal, and zero transference occurs, even when water sits for long periods of time in the pipes. Like when you go on holidays etc.

No fluoride, no scale = metals in water = poisoning, brain damage etc.

It is a necessary evil if we want the convenience of cheap, constant, clean drinking water. There isnt an alternative additive. Well there is, but it has even more adverse effects than fluoride does.

Dont get me wrong, I'm not a fluoride advocate by any means. There just isnt a way around it.

People dont want to pay higher taxes or have long delays in traffic, or have their streets and sidewalks dug up to have these water systems upgraded to other materials.. It costs a lot of money just to fix one mains leake. Imagine replacing millions of homes, their streets, their arteries etc.

You can buy water, unfluoridated, and store it in tanks. Pump/pressurise it yourself. You can have rain water tanks.

But if you want to turn a tap and get clean water, its a necessary evil.

Look up what happens in a modern city that DOESNT fluoridate its water. Look up Flint Michigan, who's mayor tried to save a buck by not paying for clean water to be pumped from Lake Huron, and re-activated the old Flint River pumping and treatment plant, and NOT fluoridating the water supply -

Day one - orange/brown water.
Week one - yellow water. People unwell.
Month one - clean water. People sick en-masse. Birth defects and deaths of infants and old folks.
Year one - everyone is on bottles water. Child IQ down 20%. Birth defects and deaths up by 300%. 400,000 people have lead poisoning.

It will NEVER LEAVE THEIR BODIES. THEIR DNA IS DAMAGED AND IT WILL TAKE 4 GENERATIONS TO REPAIR.

But OP, your original premise is correct. The idea of adding alumina to water to rid it of fluoride is stupid. There are filters out there that do reduce fluoride and clorine as well. I know I get effected by the chlorine in the steam as I like really long, hot showers. But I'm on mains water, so I cant really do much about it.

Not soon enough nor were they ever planning too. Acting like it's natural occurrence. Dumb ass brain dead morons.
