Ebola warning US - Update: now believed to be airborne - heads up!!!!!

I was thinking that I read a few years ago that the US owns the patent on four different strains. There may be more than that now.

There was speculation that the patents were the reason for flying sick medical personnel back from Africa at that time. I wasn't exactly clear on why that would be necessary, to bring them back to the US, but it rang a bell for me.

I'm a firm believer in preparedness when there is an actual threat. Ebola is a very grave actual threat.

Your opinion is your very own and you have an absolute right to it. I simply say again you need to make yourself aware that your choices affect the lives of others. Be sure you are willing to take on that responsibility.

Not to this time, but a poster living in that state and employed by government said that is the exact number to cover all government employees there, oddly. That is not necessarily the use intended, but worth considering.

Interesting that officials in the area state they checked others who came in contact with the deceased but don't mention quarantining them.

This is the most plausible explanation. I use "Baygon" spray cans which contains "pyrethroids cyfluthrin, transfluthrin, prallethrin, carbamate propoxur and organophosphorus chlorpyrifos" as its active ingredients. They are most likely using industrial strength at resorts. The reported symptoms of victims match those on listed in its MSDS label.

It is not Ebola, it's poisoning.

While the idea of being poisoned is horrific, still I'd rather it be poisoning than ebola.

Rather than a normal pesticide used here legally, there was talk of a particularly dangerous pesticide being used there, despite being illegal, and the woman's tingling hands along with the other symptoms were specifically mentioned as reaction to that very dangerous pesticide.

There have been a number of cases of illness and even death in vacation spots in that general area of the world, the warm water, high-end island resort spots, and I think we need to examine each one til we are satisfied with the final report.

I only heard that they became ill after a brief visit to Fiji and it seems like they were exposed to some unfamiliar foreign body that their body system are not familiar with. It can be food poisoning, microorganism such as a virus Ebola?? N if that's the case how in the world they got exposed?? I am thinking worse case scenario...but there is further investigation among CDC, & WHO people, before we know something. I am advising my kids to be careful when they go around n not eating out etc...

They did. It's ebola. Watch that video and learn what you need to know about ebola, how to spreads, how there's no cure. Once you have it, you will die from it within 2 weeks.

It could very well be Organic Phosphate Chloride (OPC) pesticide poisoning, If I remember correctly there was a warning issued just before I departed from American Samoa about some Chinese Bug bombs that were unsafe and actually were banned in Am. Samoa but were being sold.

Most hotels spray as a routine bug control and if a cool down period isn't observed it can lead to OPC poisoning. The mentioned Bug Bombs were for shipping container use only but sold in stores with no warning of their higher strength. When used in shipping containers they are added as last item, set off and the container closed and sealed. The time taken to ship by sea provides the cool down time needed for the pesticide to break down.

If those Bug Bombs were used in a Hotel room without a cool down period it could very well be deadly to any guest and Hotel employee entering the room to soon.

There have been cases where even Hospital employees who came in contact with the victims of OPC poisoning or their possessions have also become ill. That does fit this case also.

Hey Pooka, I haven't had the chance to catch up on this thread, but I remember a few days ago that a delivery truck was parked outside of the office campus of the Bluegrass whatever-it-is. Can't remember the name. There is another campus with old, leaky drums of nerve gas and who knows what all. Left over from ww2, I guess? That campus is the storage facility, but the truck was parked near office buildings, but outside the secure area. So, it all seemed to be a nothing burger. But it still felt off to me.

There was a thread about this, and Miss Cleo said something about someone leaving a message with that parked truck, since it wasn't the actual storage site. That sounded about right to me. I bet some foreign guys would love to do something to that site. And Lord knows, we have millions of them here now.

Pooka, I just now watched his video, and my guess was right, the gas masks were for the people who are going to get rid of all that left-over bio-chemical weaponry at Bluegrass/Richmond.

This is not the only site in the US, there was one in Utah that they got rid of everything stored there over twenty years ago. But environmentalists caused a giant ruckus in KY and prevented the destruction of this dangerous stuff. It could have been taken care of LONG ago.

Also, it's all been done before. I guess people are nervous, and rightly so, but it's not a new thing.

Let's hope the masks really are to be used only for clean-up of all that left over bad stuff, and that we get it cleaned up before someone else decides to make use of it.

You are so right that we have millions in this country right now that would love to do us the most harm possible.

I'd like to know exactly what clean-up, if any, is intended, since there was a clean-up which brought it all to this place. Where does it go now? Dump into the ocean? Will it take forty thousand people to clean it up?

I'm not entirely trusting anything we are hearing. Through GLP and the facts I've become a pessimist, sadly.

To have these toxic substances in one place says that a clean-up or a number of clean-ups have been done before, which placed these things where they are. If those are now to be "cleaned up" where to? What are they going to do with them? I do not trust this process, nor the people involved. What is the safe way to destroy them, if destruction is the plan - we have things in this country we don't know how to get rid of! Here in my own state we have Hanford with nuclear waste - leaking into the ground - and what is the solution? We make more and more toxic substances without enough thought put into eliminating the extremely dangerous left-overs.

They have always dumped them in the ocean. (yes you read that right.)
