So much of that is an ad for cryptocurrency - wish we could get rid of all that but I don't know how.

When I consider the damage done to this earth, it makes me sick. We have treated the beautiful, the living, the glorious as if it is all renewable, and look what we are reaping. Just makes me sick.

I'm still not comfortable with the idea that many gas masks are required for cleaning up a mess. The masks are reusable indefinitely - just occasional changes of filter, so one person-one mask - and that many delivered? Something still reeks here.

Inquiry is being made to CDC to look into OPC pesticide poisoning possibility.

will be interesting to see if any OPC traces turn up.

Wish I could recall where I read about the very, very illegal pesticide that is still commonly used there.

Also wish I could recall where reading about the couple who awoke at 4 a.m. with a terribly strong smell of pesticide in their room. That must have come through the AC system.

Same poison as in Dominican Republic? How did it get across the ocean???

Yes "Made in China" with a crapola instruction on how to use correctly. One problem no or poor translation. 99.9% of those applying the pesticides have no knowledge of proper application and warnings.

Should be easy to trace. But dealing internationally is the trick.

Yes if they do the test for residue break down products they can trace. Finding the actual source pesticide could be as easy as looking into the Housekeeping closet at the Hotel.

In the airplane lavatories?
In the soap dispensers?
In the battery operated scent dispensers?

If our heads are not on a swivel, and if we are not practicing SA [Situational Awareness] we are likely to get caught in something we will have great trouble getting out of!

The world has gone insane, and could touch any one of us at any time. I fortunately live in a small town, quite small, and am not expecting much right here, unless it comes on one of the freighters loading logs and wood products, or a freighter bringing new cars. It's certainly possible.

I would think the very day the people became ill all possible traces of whatever they used suddenly disappeared and will not be found in the janitor's closet or anywhere else.

Hoping the lab tests will show definitely what it was, although I have no real faith we will be told the truth.

CDC/WHO is now also going to look into the possibility of OPC Pesticide Poisoning.

They are going to try and contain this story as much as possible... but, it’s got legs...

I should have some info from the local epidemiologist late Monday night. I'll keep passing along what I can find out.

If the masks themselves are contaminated, they cannot be reused.

There are so many reasons to hide the facts in this story - we will only learn from real sources, such as yours, Michael, whatever we can learn. Takes looking under rocks to find facts that a whole host of people want hidden.

These are not the type of mask we will wear to avoid ebola, which are one use only. These are permanent masks which only require outer decontamination plus inner filter changes.
