I've always been wary of crossing them.. never liked them.. Thanks for that link :-) I usually listen to a local talk radio station while in the car. A few months ago they had people calling in discussing their fears while driving. It was interesting how many would not drive over a bridge. There were also several who would not drive on major highways. They would go miles out of their way to get to their destination on local roads with traffic lights. lol |

I feel the same way crossing over bridges.. I have seen myself travel to work in other routes because of this bridge thing... it takes a lot longer but to my mind, I don't care and am more than willing to travel with the extra expenses, lol... Not one for bridges at all, me :-)... ~Blue Spirit~ |

It was hit twice by barges in less than a year. Officials said it was ok and did no repairs or maintenance either time. I am a meat popsicle. And the Devil's Uncle. *Mostly* Harmless. |

His response... "Yes, one time we sold them equipment. They immediately tried to knock it off and build their own. They couldn't do it they completely screwed up and people died." The Chinese completely FAIL at doing anything on their own. Which is why their army could never take on the USA. |

Maybe something to do with the landslide, flooding they've had? Go to 1:20. Lol.. that was extremely nauseating to watch... No way would that have been me on that bridge.. Oh boy! ~Blue Spirit~ |

Forced labor, child labor, sweatshops, etc do not have any pride in craftsmanship. They can’t afford to. It’s all about quantity, not quality. They may get a another rice ball if they turn out another steel ibeam. Bad or missing keyboard. Press F1 to continue.... |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 590644 United States 06/15/2019 12:39 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yeah.. the more times I watch the collapse video, the more I notice it was the concrete that went first, the metal follows... Quoting: ~Blue Spirit~ That must have been terrifying.. knowing it was too late to turn back... R.I.P To the lives lost and condolences to their families... Not enough information; too many variables. Corrosion of metals; poorly stressed cables; end anchors fail? Poor quality concrete? |

User ID: 46211356 United Kingdom 06/15/2019 12:48 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yes I'm guessing it's the quality of the materials used for this bridge that caused it to collapse... With all the rain, bad weather, flooding etc coupled with poor concrete and steel.. erosion of the materials over the years and then this time it eventually collapsed... My best bet on this... So, poorly built quality bridge... It's still being investigated as far as I know... ~Blue Spirit~ |
