Re: Kevin Blanch claims Fukushima is changing the weather
Yes, but the Fukushima thing is ongoing. Last I knew Chernobyl's reactor(s) is/are effectively covered in concrete. They're not really a tremendous radiation threat for the time being. The radioactive material that was ejected is still a fair threat though. Well the planet wide nuclear weapons testing stuff was effectively a planetary global war as far as amount of nuclear fallout that was unleashed on everyone.

We know it's horrible, but what are the numbers?

The atmospheric nuclear tests (1945-1963) released about 240 EBq (exabecquerels). Probably more than half of that ended up in the Pacific.

Chernobyl released 5-10 EBq.

And Fukushima initially released 1/10 of that of Chernobyl (0.5 EBq).

And the Pacific Ocean is naturally radioactive due to P-40 and huge amount of water. Total 8500 EBq (!)

So even if they dumped all this contaminated water into the Ocean, it would not cause an ELE or "change the climate", as this deranged lunatic claims.

Your comments reveal you have very little understanding of ocean currents or physics in general.

The radioactivity is not uniform or diluted equally throughout the entire ocean!!!

When fish or ocean-going mammals swim through water currents that have high concentrations of radioactivity, they are stricken with the effects of the poison!

Are you really that obtuse??

Whales and other cetaceans are starving to death off the Pacific coast this year for lack of food.

Anadromous fish are not returning to fresh water environs to spawn, because they are dead.

You are witnessing the extinction of the Pacific Ocean in real-time.

That is unless you prefer to keep your head in the sand!!

If something is highly concentrated (as you describe) it would have a local effect. A local die off. Anything more than that is a dilution, by definition.

The fish are dying from many different causes, such as climate changes and micro-plastics in the ocean. You should know that. Why do you blame it all on Fukushima?

It's strange to me how doomers root on all kinds of doom except for Fukushima doom. Is that because it's too real?

There is nothing we can do. That's all.
I always look at the threads about this, but there is nothing I can do but grieve.
For the dead whales, for the dead ocean, for the dead people, for the dead trees, for the dead planet.
I'm over my anger now. I just wore it out.
Nothing I can do.
Sad.

So....the guy in the video is still mad as hell. I'm glad he still has the energy for it.
Nothing he can do about it, either.

What do you want us to do, Opie?

Larf if you like.....but Jim stone and Jeff Rense both have extensive truthful data and analysis of all things Fukushima.

Scary doesn't come near to describing what is really going on and what is in store for humanity in the very near future.

I looked on Jim Stone's site the other day, and can't find a search function on his page.
Is there any way to search his archives by topic?

Wrong again.

Do you comprehend what a "current" is? Seems to be above your head.

Think of a vanilla cake with chocolate swirls, or currents going through the cake. Radioactive contamination does move from the point source, but remains concentrated in currents of water (due to differential density factors), just like the chocolate swirl. It does not make the entire cake chocolate unless you beat it into the batter, and the deep waters of the ocean are well stratified, as evidenced by the different sea life found at different depths (think of a sonar 'fish finder').

And, regarding contamination effects, within only months of 3/11, radioactive debris was detected on the Pacific coast that could be directly traced straight back to Fukushima by the type of radioactive elements detected matching what leaked during the Japanese accident.

And, to add more evidence, sea floor surveys in the years subsequent to the disaster revealed a huge decrease in sea life when compared with previous years that were surveyed... up to 80% or more of a decrease, a comparative 'desert' in terms of organisms missing that use the sea floor environment. Is it a big shock to you that heavy metals in water eventually sink to the bottom??!

Then, various government entities on the west coast of the Pacific Ocean decided to stop most radioactive testing of fish entering the marketplace, and raised the amount of radioactive contamination allowed after that time.

Some of us do not have our heads up our ass, are in tune with nature, and can see the writing on the wall.

Unfortunately, some of us (humans) will never get it... even if the facts hit us straight in the head like a hammer.

We live in a food chain, and we are tied to this web of life intrinsically, whether you understand and acknowledge it or not!

Hey, no skin to me... eat all the seafood you desire, and do humanity a favor via 'survival of the fittest"!

Bon Appétit!!

Well... as far as I know the reason why the Fukushima Radiation is so bad is because the stored radioactive waters are frequently being dumped into the Pacific Ocean by TEMCO, or whatever that nuclear authority is called in Japan. It doesn't help matters to know that the nuclear reactors themselves most likely have burned themselves down into the ground water and causing all sorts of nuclear related things to happen underground. If it's true that one nuclear reactor that was teetering on the edge fell into the Pacific Ocean then that will definitely be a seemingly permanent addition of overwhelming radiation for the Pacific Ocean and in turn the rest of the planet via the Water Cycle of the Earth.
