Actually, if the hard drive is recovered and shows the evasive actions the drone was attempting before the collision, the drone's wreckage is worth 10's of billions to Iran and it's allies. If the US isn't demanding it's return, then there is much more to the story perhaps?

Upgraded or entirely new drone and stealth planes may be needed as a result of this transfer of US tech knowledge to Iran. May cost US taxpayers billions and years to try to recover air superiority.

Iran is showing video of recovered pieces from Iranian waters. Hard to know the truth. Is there satellite video of the flight to verify the true flight path?

Two things with that. First, their claim that a p8 was shadowing all but proves it was over international waters due to the nature of the p8 operations and geography of the strait. Second, the pieces they showed are likely not from the drone, they don't real match even the coloring of 99% of global hawks just like the alleged picture they released of the shoot down was from 2 years ago in yemen.

iran has no ability to reverse engineer the advanced materials...the drone is like a crashed spaceship from an alien world.

When their S-300 actually missed and we Detonated it on purpose we knew not much would be left to reverse engineer it.
