2 You can go to Court and get an extension after the Eviction Notice

Praying you will get the help you need for Might and you. I know it takes at least 10 days to get an eviction for non payment and if you pay at the hearing you are ok. Are you near Delaware/Maryland ? If so I could possibly help.

Miggy,sorry to hear you're going through this again. I haven't been keeping up on things here, but if you're still in subsidized housing, the following info should help you.Not familiar with the terminology or if you have a voucher, subsidy, etc.

It begins with."If you live in public housing or have a housing voucher, you have all the rights other tenants have and more."

You probably already know about OK(if you still live there) law, but this looks like if you have HUD housing, the fact that you lost your job could be enough to get a hardship exemption. You can download the form to apply at the link. Might want to explore the other topics under legal info and find legal help, at the top. Here's the link:

From a few other sites I skimmed, it looks like if you are in this type housing and get evicted, it could prevent you from getting into another subsidized place. It sounds like you are supposed to let them know as soon as you think there will be a problem making the rent. It might pay to act fast with contacting them if you can. At least read and research and see what you think.

It looks as if you file the hardship exemption it will at the very least, buy you some time to get another job.
