Maybe alcohol isn't a sin, but the reason that you consume alcohol is a sin.

Think about that.

Matthew chapter 15 vs 11.

Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man, but that which cometh out of the mouth.

This defileth a man..

It's clear that the Bible wants Christians to be sober and mindful of God, constant, forever.

A Christian drinking alcohol would seem in violation of this.

The KJ Bible refers to both alcoholic and non-alcoholic juice as "wine"

It does not refer to non-alcoholic wine as "juice", like it should.. both are called wine.. of which the Bible warns of wine that has fermented or turned color.

Based on my study, fruit juice was prized for luxury and social events.. it was time consuming to make (by hand), it destroyed good food for a small portion of drink and the taste had to be great in a time where beverage choices were severely limited.

So to say that grape juice was not had at a wedding, where Jesus made sure to fill everyone up (well drank).. is foolish.. Especially when the Bible warns so many times of alcohol.

I want a glass of that Wine that Jesus made.
