Pakistani Delivery driver in UK who lured runaway schoolgirl, 15, into his van before raping her in his marital bed is jailed

A DELIVERY driver lured a 15-year-old runaway girl into his van and later raped her in his marital bed.

Mohammed Basharat, 36, spotted the vulnerable girl wandering the streets of Birmingham on August 16, 2017.

He convinced her to get into his van before driving her around for six hours and then taking her back to his home in the Hodge Hill area.

Basharat told the girl he was ten years younger than he was, and made her cover her head with a jacket, because he feared his neighbours would see he had brought a young girl home.

Basharat let the girl upstairs to sleep on his marital bed, but later snuck into the room and raped her.

He was found guilty of rape at Birmingham Crown Court on Monday and was jailed for seven years.
