I cook everything in an iron skillet. And eat out of it too. Keeps food piping hot. Also useful to bash out the brains of zombies.

Do it raw. Cook the burgers well done. I've done this dozens of times and never had a problem. Usually I use ground chuck but you could use leaner since you are adding the bacon. There is lots of info out there on this. This is without a doubt the best tasting burger you will ever have.
