BTW, to all you fucking morons out there - the image posted in the OP's link is a composite photo by Tom Buckley-Houston showing the actual size comparison between the Moon and Andromeda if it were brighter.

It's always been bigger than the Moon.

In August, the Andromeda galaxy will move closer to Earth : a cosmic event that only happens once every 150 million years

Andromeda was to be the sacrificial victim to the Kraken in the both of the Clash of the Titans movies. In the original Clash of the Titans, the Kraken destroys an ancient city by generating a giant wave.

Silly article implores reader to tell their friend so they won’t miss this spectacle.

If it really were bigger than the moon it would be obvious without having to look for it.

If it were bigger than the moon in the sky we would most likely be floating in space.

Twinkle twinkle little stars, how I wish you could collide with ours, bring us doom and end it all, for humanity has had a stupendous fall. Take the good souls out of this place and let the evil ones stay and fight the human race.

That is all....tounge

The One Who Dreams is here.

No, it's not once in every 150 million years.

You immortal souls living as mortal humans have never witnessed such phenomenon, because your previous location in the Multiverse was near the edge of the Milky Way.

I relocated you to be at the near the center of the Milky Way back in 2012, which is much closer to the Andromeda galaxy.

Your so-called 'expert scholars' will soon publish more findings about those once-in-every-150-million-years type of spectacles, because you will see far more of them than ever before.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77738841

So you moved us CLOSER to the centre of our galaxy and in turn that made us closer to another galaxy

Astro????
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76333987

It's always bigger than the moon in the sky. The article is bullshit though, it's not a rare event. It's an every-year event, any time Andromeda is visible at night it's actually larger than the moon. That's why I can't even fit the full thing in my main telescope. The article is gibberish, it looks like someone was writing a parody of the old "Mars will be as large as the moon in August" hoax emails, and combined it with some word salad to make it sound authentic. It's depressing to me that anyone would take it seriously.
