well I am "vegetarian" for multiple reasons and I won't cover that today... I do require eggs and since I eat eggs I enjoy a little yogurt or ice cream .

Anyway... Last night I thawed a little vegetarian roast I kept forgetting about which had been in my freezer for 2 years.

This was EXCELLENT.. best fake meat I ever had. Except for one very good burger by somebody else. TExture was WONDERFUL.

I was supposed to cook it in the bag.. but chose to brown it in butter which also browned some with intentions of a white creamy gravy. After the browning.. I added vegetable broth and cooked 1/2 hour or so... Then sliced it in the pan... added the potato water from my potatoes and of all things powdered soy milk.. powdered because I had enough liquid... THIS WAS GOOD GRAVY...

I enjoyed my potatoes and gravy and had some green beans.. This roast is YUMMY FOR REAL... I haven't had a roast and mashed potatoes and gravy for a LONG TIME.

You could sever this to meat eaters and they would like it good enough.
