I say that because of the way it's packaged. You can take one out while frozen and leave the rest frozen...you can't do that with steak, chicken, pork roast, etc. You could add it to soup or beans or eat it plain. High fat content & a long life in the freezer. And they take up little space in the freezer. Pre-cooked as well. Not food shortages but certainly a climb in prices. He also brings in peak production as a factor later in the video; fertilizer, food production and mining. The peak metals was something interesting to think about, in the prelude to WWII the Japanese were the world's largest buyer of scrap metal which they used to industrialize and build a modern military. The US cut off scrap sales and this became one of the reasons that the Japanese decided to attack Pearl Harbor. Oh, and edible oils are indeed one of the first things to be increasing in price. |

User ID: 77651099 United States 02/24/2020 08:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I know that Covid-19 is all the rage right now but I ran across an article today that underscores the idea that a larger scenario is playing out. It's behind a pay wall so I can't link to it, basically it says that the fields in my neck of the woods are in danger of late planting because the water table is so high. Coming home today I passed fields that have water pools scattered across them, we haven't had any precipitation in a few days so I would not have expected to see that. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that Covid-19 is a nothingburger. In fact I think that it was inevitable that we would see a pandemic given the history of previous solar minimums... just didn't expect to see one show up so soon, even before we've established what kind of minimum we are in. So if the Wu-Wu Flu has got you acting, I applaud you and encourage you to look at a larger picture over a longer time. There are events in motion that the pandemic is only a part of. Maybe it'll all just fizzle out, if that's your wager then I would suggest that maybe you hedge your bet. Can't hurt much can it? Oh, and I went shopping today. Bottled water was completely empty at a big box store with the exception of the pricey premium water. Went to the restaurant supply store and a woman was buying a lot of bottled water there. Had seven cases loaded in her cart and was still pulling more off the shelf. "Yes, yes. Zathras is used to being beast of burden to other people's needs. Very sad life. Probably have very sad death. May have to go elsewhere for those altho I really don't feel like traveling too far away from home right now. Probably end up ordering those online. Prices were definitely up from last month.
