my mystery noises have always been:

* low battery warning in a smoke detector
* Dish Washer door slightly ajar (but looked closed)
* Watch accidentally set to time mark (a stop watch)

Check your modern ac unit. Could be a remote sensor indicating filter change.

Do you have a battery powered clock or maybe a watch in the house? I had a watch that did that when the battery got old.

It also does that when you open the door before the time is up--but only once as far as I can tell.

Checking all suggestions, unplugged everything in house, now checking for any old watches, devices etc. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Could it be a somewhat hidden Carbon monoxide alarm?

Could be the digital watch battery draining on the body buried in your crawl space.

Check the batts in your Tanita scale. That's the cause of mysterious beeps here. Batteries are all charged up, yet, this happens, so I only secure the batteries in it when I'm going to use it. Maybe you don't have a Tanita scale, but that's the culprit around here.
