Chickpea felafel is great for fast food or fried chicken cravings.
Don’t waste time or money on mixes.
Soak dried chickpeas overnight. If you keep them longer, rinse and drain, let them sprout little tails if you like.
Grind them up In any whirling blade.
Season to taste with minced onion, parsley. Cumin, coriander powder, cayenne turnieric are good but salt and black pepper are good too. If you fry chicken try those seasonings too. Paprika and mustard.
Make patties, croquettes or balls no larger than a golf ball.
Fry in oil.
Serve on summer salad or with the fixings of a traditional fried chicken dinner.
You can experiment with combining this with canned salmon.
If you eat the paste before you season it you will notice it is very much like chocolate chip cookie dough. It’s tempting to season with vanilla and are what happens with chunks of dark chocolate and hazelnuts.
Quoting: Polkahonkus This is remarkable! Copied and saved - love the sound of all of it! Thank you very much!
