Exactly - I am somehow expecting this to throw a wrench in the works of the prosecution. Not sure how and only a feeling but this is not a good sign for a successful prosecution.

Almost as if the radical left is throwing Epstein and Bill Clinton under the bus to get to Trump. I think it might be to pressure Hillary out of some of her blackmail material - hard to say.

Read earlier that Bill Clinton openly said today he flew 4 times on Epsteins plane, yet flight logs show 26 times. That has got to come out at some point. Not like Bill has never publicly lied on national TV before... oh wait... LOL.

Think I know why Dershowitz No-Showitzed Hannity tonight.

On Nov. 28, 2018, when the Miami Herald revealed that, in 2008, convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s lawyers, a group that included Dershowitz, had pressured then-U.S. attorney Alexander Acosta—now serving as Donald Trump's labor secretary—into negotiating a sweetheart plea deal for the billionaire financier, who was accused of molesting more than 100 underage girls.

Since that news broke, Dershowitz has appeared on Fox News a total of 27 times. Not once has anyone on the network asked him about his client or his connection to the secret plea deal a judge has since declared illegal.

Yeah you fuckers on the left are guilty as fuck and you know it.

And Trump did give evidence against epstein and did kick his ass off his property

Now, now play fair. I'm not guilty of any legal or political malfeasance.

If you are covering up for Pedophiles under God's law

you are bearing false witness and are as guilty as the predator.
 Quoting: Jake

If I am? are you accusing me of that ??

Or did you mean to say if anyone. I hope that's what you meant bc I'm growing tired of seeing fact finding exchanges turn into fingers being pointed which is absurd on the internet.

Some on this planet think having a 12yo wife is a good thing. Most in the USA do not. Your views are your own but do not conform to the legal standard in the USA of abusing underage girls.

Yes laws vary from State to State but Epstein did not remain in any one State, thus this is a Federal case.

Your views again are your own but the standard for decency in the USA is to -not- abuse or take advantage of young girls. Your view appears to be in defense of taking advantage of young girls, hence the pushback.

As for not those on FOX not asking? So what? No different than your favorite CNN/MSNBC etc. etc.. networks not asking Hillary/Obama/Holder.... etc about their crimes.

I do my best not to offer an opinion in my comments - I believe this one above speaks for itself.

He was arrested Saturday night. Today he made his first court appearance.

And based on his not-guilty plea and his offer to talk in exchange for a 5 year sentence things could move pretty quickly, especially if others who could leave the country are fingered.

Trump was given immunity as a potential co-conspirator and associate of Epstein as part of the original plea deal - which Trump's DOJ fought to keep.

NEVER MIND the fact that the prosecutor in the case said that PRESIDENT TRUMP was the ONLY one to call him back in this case, and offer to help in any way he can... He wasn't given immunity, he HATES pedos...

Who's been arresting them since he's taken office? Who attacks him all the time...

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this shit out.

NO! Stupid fuck!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76448548

DOJ argued for it and got it. The original deal stands and these new charges CANNOT be used to go after potential co-conspirators unless Epstein somehow provides substantial documented evidence and the government accepts it and goes after them. He won't do that.

Since the new charges only apply to Epstein, it's clear that the fed government is simply trying to protect bigger fish than Epstein who, rightfully, is being taken down. Trump Admin isn't 'taking down the network' - his Admin is protecting it by sacrificing Epstein and others to protect themselves.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77798856

Did Judge Marra rule on that?

You did lie about Trump, so your credibility is at zero at this point.

I will say that the NPA Acosta made in this case is disgusting, and beyond belief. That slug should be fired already. Trump is too loyal at times, and this is one of them.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77686546

IT doesn't matter what Marra ruled in terms of the original 'non prosecution' agreement.

The DOJ - TRUMP's DOJ - REFUSED to invalidate the plea deal. Comprehend that and what it means? OF course you do. You're a real shill.

In February, a federal judge ruled the non-prosecution agreement to be unconstitutional. US District Judge Kenneth A. Marra said that the deal violated the 30-plus accusers’ right to speak with prosecutors about the terms of the arrangement.

But in late June, the Department of Justice declined to invalidate that deal. Prior to this decision, accusers had hoped Marra’s ruling would lead to the case being reopened.

The new indictment could provide something of an opportunity to relitigate the accusations Epstein has long faced, albeit in a different state.

The social connections, in particular, have been crucial to helping Epstein avoid prosecution. The financier met many a powerful person as an investment banker at Bear Stearns, and later as the head of his own financial firm that exclusively caters to billionaires. He once described the famous people with whom he associates as a “collection,” and his well-connected lawyers, Kenneth Starr and Alan Dershowitz, were key to his light sentencing in the 2008 federal case. But some of these friends have also been implicated in his alleged abuse, write Coaston and North:

These friends may not be able to help Epstein this time, however. They are shielded from prosecution thanks to immunity granted to “any potential co-conspirators” under the terms of his Miami deal, meaning they have little incentive to cooperate with prosecutors or to involve themselves in Epstein’s current charges on his behalf. While the deal was in doubt for a time due to a ruling by a federal judge that found it unconstitutional, the Justice Department has defended it.

...at the end of the day, Epstein will get a larger sentence and all of those who participated with him won't be touched. It's that simple. Trump walks unscathed. Clinton walks unscathed. The British royal scum walk away. All of them. Walking away. Except the scapegoat they throw under the bus to be sacrificed for themselves and their own involvement, participation, and continued behaviors of predation.

Judicial Activism is a norm to the left and embedded in their process. While the Right can be accused of the same it is far less of a chance to occur on the Right.

Considering Barr has recused himself this should speak volumes as to why 'Trumps DOJ' has not pursued this and let the normal appeals process take place. Also, 'Trumps DOJ' was without a Senate-confirmed replacement until recently, so refusing to act at that time is understandable.

Re: Trump was demanding justice for the Jeffrey Epstein victims in 2012
...

Did Judge Marra rule on that?

You did lie about Trump, so your credibility is at zero at this point.

I will say that the NPA Acosta made in this case is disgusting, and beyond belief. That slug should be fired already. Trump is too loyal at times, and this is one of them.

Also, 'Trumps DOJ' was without a Senate-confirmed replacement until recently, so refusing to act at that time is understandable.

....It should be noted that Epstein’s controversial deal with the DOJ was initiated by the former Bush-era DOJ and then later upheld by the then-Obama administration. And you want to know who the FBI Director was at the time who participated in that Epstein-friendly agreement?

None other than Robert Mueller. (Again, the far-left media has said NOTHING about this.) Epstein’s many political ties, though largely Democrat Party-friendly, are politically interconnected and international in nature and many now feel he was the recipient of some very powerful Deep-State protection—the very same Deep State that has been working so hard to try and destroy President Trump.

Robert Mueller aka Alex Acosta?

Why is Acosta's name all over the non-prosecution agreement OP?

Can you provide a link that ties Mueller directly to the plea agreement?

I've already seen Cernovich's valiant effort to gather docs from the original case - highly redacted.

Trump may have demanded justice for those child victims and rightly so - a lot of people should have.

Unfortunately he hired Acosta (who I suspect will quit tomorrow) and who Trump had to have known signed the papers stopping any real Justice.

Juile K. Brown is primarily responsible for this turn of events - she DID the work the prosecutors should have back in 2007 while Acosta was busy making deals with Epstein's law team.

And NO I don't believe Trump is involved with Epstein's girls.

It will be interesting to see who all goes down for not following long established due process.

Big cases like this push all our buttons in one way or another. This is why due process exists to cut through all the emotions and stick to what is a tried and true means to process any case. Sadly this due process was not followed.

Mueller was definately FBI head at that time and I think Holder was the AG - not sure so open to correction on that part. All those involved will be dragged back in somehow for new vetting so 'Due Process' can be done.

How it turns out, well, that remains to be seen. Am voting for rope on this one though for Epstein.
