I'm sat here having came in from working in the sun, so, this may be way off the mark, but i just calculated that on 18 Aug 2023, it comes to close to the Earth, very close, at 16,628 kilometers! Someone who ain't suffering from heat stroke may hopefully prove me wrong there.

BTW OP, your calculations were spot on there as far as I can see.

Think we are going to need someone else to confirm what we are seeing here. Those close approaches seem very close and very soon too.

The distance they give is measured from the center of the earth not the crust so you have to figure that in also
