It's apprx 168 kms NE of RS-1 location & 179 kms from D2 in the top right corner of the adjacent permit WA-527P held by another operator.
No drilling happening in that permit for now.

Always earthquakes up around all those islands.

Like someone said earlier, the one up north here is at an unusual place, I've followed earthquakes for years, don't remember seeing one there, not so close to shore anyway.

A magnitude-6.6 earthquake in the Indian Ocean has been felt across large parts of Western Australia.

The quake struck about 200 kilometres off the coast, between Broome and Port Hedland at 1:39pm on Sunday.

Geoscience Australia has updated the quake after earlier reporting it as a magnitude-6.5.

It makes Sunday's quake one of the most powerful ever to hit WA, although its impact is nowhere as severe as the magnitude-6.5 quake which hit the Wheatbelt town of Meckering over 50 years ago.

Nothing unusual. Earthquakes, volcanoes, cyclones, etc etc etc have been happening for millions of years.

It's just that we only have written records of recent history, but you only need to look at the evidence of land changes all around the world, to see it's constantly changing.
