Perhaps willful ignorance? Some Indian terms seem relevant such as maya and samsara. Or perhaps a westernized "dark side" of the occult is another way such ideas have found expression. |

I don’t know much about that stuff or Tao The religious and spiritual traditions of India and China are ancient and very deep with psychological insights. Well worth considering as was done by many of the notable western intellectuals who were inspired by these traditions and adapted them into many of our "modern" conceptions of how the mind works etc. The link to the Tao teh Ching seems to be a decent audio rendering of this seminal work in this ancient philosophical tradition. Also, Alan Watts wrote several books interpreting many of these ideas for western audiences that are very accessible and he has quite a few talks available online that are quite interesting if you would like to learn more. Best wishes. |

When the one great scorer comes to write against your name, he writes not that you won or lost but how you played the game. The stance and stare of a wolf you find yourself alone with will tell you that he is prepared to treat you as you would treat him. Whether that comforts or frightens you, he has told you all you need know about both. |
