Guatemala took them to El Salvador, and, now, El Salvador threatens Guatemala So, the Mexican army was strong on the border between Mexico and Guatemala. A coyote that we know of, who has always crossed people into MExico and then the states and never been caught, has had 29 of his people captured in MExico. So, MExico is doing its job. It is deporting them to Guatemala. Guatemala took a couple of buses full into El Salvador, and published news articles requesting that people not rent homes or help out the El Salvadorians and the Hondurans- that they were potential criminals. The CEntral Americans started to rob and attack people. 9 people were killed over night last night. Guatemala re-iterated its position to its citizens to not help the Central Americans, and upped it by 'reminding' people that we do have a law that one can kill gangsters and not be punished. El Salvador responded saying that they would be sending over all of its worst gangsters for 'retribution'. I must admit, I am a bit worried about this right now.

Guatemala took them to El Salvador, and, now, El Salvador threatens Guatemala Mexico has impressed me. I lived there several years ago, and, the police were the most corrupt I've ever seen. I didn't expect them to actually do anything that they'd promised to do for Trump, but, they are. They are bringing them back here and Guatemala hasn't been as successful in removing them. I am thankful that we can go back to the states if things get bad here, but, I am worried for the people here.

We've been here for three years and have tried to help people here, saved 26 street dogs, and done the best that we could.. But, it feels 'different' now and I'm worried. I had coffee today with other expat women and we are all planning on leaving within the next 4 months. Kind of sad, but, it is what it is. I am here with two teens and a three year old. It definitely makes me more sensitive to the situation.
