I was in the June 1978 Thessaloniki earthquake. A 6.5 on the Richter scale. Happened just about before midnight. I was still up. It was freaky. I did not go back to the hostel that night. I slept outside in a park. Many people stayed the night out and the next night also. Greece was crazy cheap at the time. Mass tourism had not hit the country yet. I would go down and stay one month back in the 1970s. I came. I saw. I Concorde.
