Are our dead loved ones sleeping or waiting for us in Heaven?

What would be the point of sleeping eternity away, such a waste. . I vote for being in heaven.

we were always told they can see us and see us the same way they did while alive so you don't worry about invasions of privacy LOL
as for myself ? I am requesting to roam around for a while discretely,not gonna bother anyone--just go from here to there like they do. would like to see other states and nations.

I know that my grandparents are in Heaven. They sometimes come in my dreams at night.

Sleeping is a function of the physical body... When the physical body is no more what relevance would the former notion of sleeping have? The same relevance that eating and using the bathroom would have... Which is none...

According to the Bible, we all sleep until judgement day (return of Christ). Then the dead in Christ rise first followed by the living. This is when judgement takes place and is it decided who gets to heaven.

Those that done make it remain asleep until the end of the millennial reign. This is when the lake of fire starts and all the souls of the evil ones meet the second death. Once the lake of fire has done its job, the saved will walk among the ashes.

There is no eternal place called Hell. The effects are eternal...no more life for those that fail in this one. Cannot have a perfect place with souls that refuse the perfection of Christ.

Show me in the bible where it says that they are in heaven. Thessalonians 4:16 states "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first." That explicitly states the dead will rise at the judgement day. Daniel 12:2 states "Many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life, but the others to disgrace and everlasting contempt." the bible does not support the dead going straight to heaven. brother open your eyes to the truth. on another note, why are seventh day Adventists a cult? what do they practice that supports that other than listening to the word of God? do you not accept the saturday as the sabbath?

The bottom line is nobody knows, not even the Bible. That's because nobody has ever come back from the dead to explain. And I don't mean temporarily dead like on the operating table. I mean dead, dead.

I died in September, and was dead for 10 minutes.

I was more "alive" in heaven than I have ever been on earth. It's like the wax paper came off my eyes, and I could experience life at a much more intense level than anything I've known on earth.
