Here is the problem with that: how much works is enough?? You will drive yourself insane trying to reach the un-obtainable level of works. Only a cruel god would make such requirements.

Because God is Perfect... and cannot stand to be with anybody who is not perfect.

If you didn't forgive just one person... then you are lost forever. That's a pretty steep burden to bear.... constantly checking.... constantly looking back... to make sure that the coast is cleared.

Wouldn't it be easier just to say: Jesus, I accept the substitutionary sacrifice that You did. Please forgive me of all of my sins... the ones that I know about, and the ones that I committed from omission(s)?

But most believers would say that you can give it back... by disobedience.... etc...

There is no life With God possible if you cannot seek HIM without expectations or conditions...


The whole thread, body of replies here, smacks of expectations. What is The Book Of Life to you, other than something you read about in Scripture which you intellectually have determined inclusion within to be desired?


Christ Jesus Brought The Gospel and IS The Propitiation For All sin. HIS Manifestation and Witness to this earthly life was To Enable Father's New Covenant which IS THE WAY To Come Into HIS Presence, KNOW HIM and Be Brought Into HIS Accord for the rest of this life and all eternity.


Yet, there is no KNOWING God's Plan until HE Enables you to KNOW.

It takes Heart and your desire/willingness to Trust HIM Fully and surrender all you are into HIS Care and Guidance.

There's no being led by others or brought to HIM by others. Yet, much of Laodicean ministry holds that it is the role of the minister/teacher/preacher to "lead others to Christ" (but not Father-God)... This establishes the alienation of the Laodicean church; the 'ignorance' Christ Witnesses of in Rev 3:15-17, the not-Knowing or their inherent wretchedness.


Have you worked your Faith?
