I heard this my freshman year in college when I took astronomy electives. That was 1978. Same reason too, the friction of the tides.

They've been inserting leap seconds to make up for this since 1972 (which is the same year they established the timing standard that would need leap seconda).

They're pinning on it a foreign body that has been around for thousands of years. Though it wasn't mentioned in ancient texts....

But the reality is, if we're in the midst of a pole shift and its picking up steam, once our magnetic fields are close to null and void, earth's location will come to a halt. At least that is one of the less talked about theories based on moon and planets with damaged cores.

But that core rotation affects electromagnetic field which influences our brain and time awareness, same as em fields outside our solar system and the sun's em field
