That was great, but I don't think that was his quote.

Got a link?

Re: George Carlin... Last Poetic Statement
I would like a direct reference. It seems as though someone wrote this, and added Carlin's name.

If you could provide the source material, that would be great.

It has the tone of Charlie Chaplin in "The Great Speech."

The first thing that jumped out was the use of God or creator. The man was an athiest.

So source, and documentation would be lovely. What I see is an opinion piece with his name on it.

Sorry

They don't make them like that anymore....he sure was wise..

They literally don’t

He was a critical thinker and not easily swayed by propaganda because he could research facts and make a logical conclusion, and predict the outcome

The federal governments worse nightmare. Which is why our schools suck so bad today. No more Carlin’s

^This^. He was a genius and taught others through his humor.

The quote of his that I seem to have lived my life by is “I don't have pet peeves - I have major psychotic fucking hatreds.”

don't presume to tell us that have defended you that you don't support every shot we fired to eliminate that enemy.

He was simply describing the Tao.

Re: George Carlin... Last Poetic Statement
Sooo soo true. I have this sort of ritual (if you will) Every morning I make my daughter eggs. While I am scrambling them I pray to God. I thank God for everything the day offers and everything that had been offered before. Maybe I should do this while showering too or say brushing my teeth. Maybe we all should do this. If you believe. This also hit home as I have a new neighbor across the street and still haven’t said hello. I will make it a priority

Re: George Carlin... Last Poetic Statement
In the early seventies his bawdy commentary was amusing.

I got dragged to one of his concerts with my wife and anither couple. This area is very conserative and this was maybe 1997 or so. Well he started the set with a political liberaltirade for 15 minutes solid. The whole audience went dead silent. It was bad. People started walking out. It was a propaganda lecture not a gut busting monologue.

Unpopular believe, George Carlin was on his death bed during his last show where everyone likes him. He was cynical. If you look at his before stuff he was a hippie.

NO! Do not put Bill Hicks and George Carlin in the same category. Bill Hicks was awesome but depression/drugs/alcohol got him early.

George Carlin is remembered because of three reasons. 1) he was a hippie man comedian from the 1960's. 2) he was on Kevin Smith movies 3) on his death before another heart attack (he had before) wrote some dark shit for stand up. So in the entirety of George Carlin from the 1960's, the only stand up that is remembered is his HBO Special "It's Bad for Ya".

I have the Carlin box set and the only one that's funny is the one he made before he died.

In no way is Carlin like Bill Hicks.

Bill Hicks was a drug addict/alcoholic much like Jim Morrison but died before his prime. His short lived jokes are amazing.

You can hate me for that. But Carlin wasn't that funny until he did his death show.

I don't know maybe playing a GOD in Kevin Smith movie DOGMA gave him a complex to have the final show.

The only one I agree with is this skit. Religion is the oldest written history on Earth.

No, he had 3 heart attacks writing his last skit. He was a hippie comedian from the 1960's. Post something funny before his last show. In carrier he wasn't funny. His last skit was about religion and politics, something you talk about when your drunk.
