I can watch Netflix show for free. Why pay them? There's many ways to do it with the Fire stick.

There's a new sci-fi show on there called 'Another Life' and it has to be hands down the most badly written show ever. It might actually be comedy.

Love me some sci-fi. I tried to watch this show last night and I couldn't get through the first episode.

The actors are decent actors but they seemed so disconnected from each other and the writing was horrible...the CGI was something a 5 year old could do.

Very disappointing.

Clearly it was over-valued to begin with. Probably because all these fools leaped up to invest in it because they announced they'd sucking off Obama's asshole like a ghey lamprey eel.

Lesson here: Obama's name on anything spells death to investors!

Although I agree with you to an extent (I haven't watched/paid for cable in over a decade).....we're not all young like you might be. Meaning, it's uncomfortable watching movies/documentaries etc from our phones or tablets with our aging eyes.

We need bigger projection screens. And so far, I haven't figured out a way to mirror my Chromebook and/or android onto my smart tv.

They released another series of black mirror... it was only 3 episodes and as far as i remember, each one had something to do with either forced feminism, gays, trannies, or transgenders.. Anyway, not memorable.. most of the stuff on there has homosexuality and wokeness.

People of the left don't know where to draw the line. They're like snot-faced kids who keep pushing the envelope with their parents.

Think of Netflix as another version of the owners of the James Bond franchise. They announced a few days ago that the next James Bond/007 is going to be a black female.

What has liberals/leftists/progressives/libtards not shitted up?

$17 billion in just a single day!

New subscribers way down from estimates.

Since it launched the article claims value rose by 3300% over 9 years which is quite a good run in abnormal growth and things now leveling out, even pulling back to a more steady baseline.. Also, the market has a lot more competition with many other streaming services.

My opinion is that it's not the whole story. That might explain away some of but not all of it. There's a new sci-fi show on there called 'Another Life' and it has to be hands down the most badly written show ever. It might actually be comedy... anyways I digress.. It's more of the same with shoving wokeness in peoples faces and turning away large demographics in droves. Shows & movies etc are entertainment.. People tune in to be entertained, not lectured to.

Though I am really having a hard time accepting that these people who are producing this crap and in charge of these companies are completely oblivious to the destruction they're causing their business. In another thread Thread: Hollywood: Social Engineering or Market Fuckery - Get woke, get rich??? I eluded to a 'conspiracy' where this is some ploy to profit from, but really I dunno anymore.
 Quoting: Didyabringyabongalong

Remember the Dot.com bubble? Back during the big rise of Dot.com companies their company value was vastly over-valued and soon as investors figured that out most of those Dot.com companies crashed, burned and went belly up over night.

I see online movie streaming services as any more valuable than online music streaming services.
Then you add in the limits of cable and phone line so-called high speed internet access, which is limited to no more than 125 Mbps which is hell is you want to stream 4K HD DVD quality video without stoppage during play. Then you figure in that server hardware is becoming less and less expensive and that creates a heck of a lot more competition in the media steaming business.

I dropped them when they quietly started reducing the number of actual Movies in their catalog and instead started replacing everything with their own "Netflix Original Content". Sorry but I don't give a single fuck about your "Original Content". We signed up for MOVIES not churned out, poorly written SJW Virtue Signaling. FU and btw.

I've noticed a dramatic drop in cable tv provider prices. That might have something to do with it.

I think it was up to $200 a month for cable, inet and phone service. Recently I've noticed ads for services below $100.

After their rip off process it's probably around $150 a month.

Netflix was a popular alternative to expensive cable tv.

Like I know it is expensive as hell to start something like Netflix, but i'm surprised someone hasn't stepped forward to create something similar but much more family friendly. And i'm not talking about something like "Pureflix" with shows about church and what not.

I mean if you could get 20 million subscribers at 10 bucks a month, thats 200 million per month. Netflix had to go from our house though, I spent more time going up and down that tile screen completely unable to find one thing i wanted to watch.

The only thing I like on Nutflix is Dark, which is really good and isn't multicultural. I gave up on Stranger Things after the first season when they were on some award show and had a "he will not divide us speech".

rolleyes

My Amazon Prime is a far better value, they have a lot of older tv shows which I prefer, free 2 day shipping, I can borrow a book from the kindle owners lending library every month, plus prime reading and music.

What is going to be hilarious is when Apple loses their shorts on Apple + TV, they have one show that is running $15 million an episode, that takes a lot of revenue to recoup their investment.

The quality of programming went downhill quick. I enjoyed Bloodline, but that was a few years ago. Now you can spend hours looking for something worth watching and end up watching something on yt instead. Everyone told me to watch Stranger Things, so I did, but I wasn't that impressed, first season was ok, second season not so much, and third season was so bad I can't be bothered to finish watching.

They disabled viewer reviews cuz they can't take honest fan opinion on their biggest turkeys. The few shows that I do enjoy seem to get cancelled too soon, so they can make bad Adam Sandler movies, LGBTQ propaganda and white shaming shows instead. Membership cancelled when they canned Travelers after season 3.

I finished it this morning.

I really had high hopes.

Save yourself the hassle.

Claims high nudity... ALL MALE!

The movie is anti-Christian, with a long stupid preachy anti-Christian monologue by the female super.

Started out good, then got slow towards the end. Pissed me off many times with their message.

Finale was fine.

If I could go back, I would have skipped this.

I download every movie that come out, literally every movie. There is maybe only 3 or 4 movies out of 100 that I do not shut off in the first 10-15 minutes.

Movies have turned to complete shit.

Every horror movie is the same now. They do nothing to introduce the characters to us, they just stick all the characters in a car at the beginning of the movie and have them drive somewhere and that's how we find out about each one.

It's repetative and fucking lazy by the filmmakers. I shut every movie off as soon as there is a seen with the main characters start driving somewhere in a car.

they are also shooting more movies in the dark, so
they don't pay for expensive sets and props. and they
don't even bother to light the actors faces.

YUP, I did too. Then went back when Lost in Space was starting up, it was crap due to the men being inept and the women being heroes, and Dr. Smith being female. Fuck it. Good bye. There's no creative genius left anymore, just CGI programmers and liberal morons that believe they can resurrect great old shows and movies and remake them in the liberal likeness. NONE HAVE SUCCEEDED. So that leaves nothing but shit.
