Sabancaya volcano (Peru): increasing activity, ash explosions to up to 35,000 ft altitude...

The activity at the volcano has been showing an increasing trend over the past days and weeks. Explosions have been frequent (up to 5-6 per day) and occasionally produced ash plumes that reached more than 30,000 ft (9 km) altitude.
On 6 Dec 2019, VAAC Buenos Aires detected an ash plume that rose to estimated 35,0000 ft (12 km) altitude and drifted SW.
According to INGEMMET, a lava dome is growing in the summit crater, although the thermal signal detected on satellite imagery (so far) has been rather low. Seismic activity at the volcano is high.
