Yes, indeed! Lots happening everywhere...

Well, at least at my end of the pond there is... it's a very sad time for me right now...

I lost my cat, Lacey this morning at 6:15 due to a condition she had, unknown to me... Pericardial Effusion... she had a lot of fluid around her heart which was bothering her for a while and she eventually succumbed to her fight this morning...

It's heart breaking... she was 13 and a lifelong family member, a friend from as long as we had known her since a kitten...



I may need to hold off on the updates on here for a short while as there is so much happening and a lot of preparing I have to do...

I know what you mean with the high energies and the nauseating/dizziness feeling... I'm feeling the same myself... almost like vertigo but I've been told by the "professionals" it's not that and to just rest...

Hard to do though so easier said than done...

Sorry you're feeling that way... I hope it eases off soon for you...

Mine is partially because I'm very tired also and haven't had as much sleep as I should have had...

Too much going on for me to think about sleep right now...

Anyways, thank you, very much for your support and contributions to my thread :-)... I appreciate it...

Glad to hear it Blue Spirit !
It took me a good bit of time to deal with loss of my little dog. he was my little companion. I have felt his presence around my home at times. I was in my kitchens area when I heard his distinct bark. It was so disconcerting when I realized he was dead so it couldn't have been him barking but there were no other dogs anywhere about. Took almost two yrs before I was ready for my puppy which has been truly wonderful.

Tungurahua volcano in Ecuador—known locally as "The Black Giant"—is displaying the hallmarks of flank instability, which could result in a colossal landslide...

New research, led by Dr. James Hickey from the Camborne School of Mines, has suggested that the volcano's recent activity has led to significant rapid deformation on the western flank...

The researchers believe that the driving force causing this deformation could lead to an increased risk of the flank collapsing, causing widespread damage to the surrounding local area...

The research recommends the volcano should be closely monitored to watch for stronger early warning signs of potential collapse...

The study is published in the journal Earth & Planetary Science Letters...

Dr. Hickey, who is based at the University of Exeter's Penryn Campus, Cornwall, said: "Using satellite data we have observed very rapid deformation of Tungurahua's west flank, which our research suggests is caused by imbalances between magma being supplied and magma being erupted"...

Tungurahua volcano has a long history of flank collapse, and has also been frequently active since 1999. The activity in 1999 led to the evacuation of 25,000 people from nearby communities...

A previous eruption of Tungurahua, around 3,000 years ago, caused a prior, partial collapse of the west flank of the volcanic cone...

This collapse led to a wide-spread debris avalanche of moving rock, soil, snow and water that covered 80 square kilometres—the equivalent of more than 11,000 football fields...

Good grief!
What is it with people & volcanoes? I have zero desire up be up close to one, inside one, let alone tight rope walk across one. My father is Nicaraguan so we actually drove down there all the way from Los Angeles. It was a great road trip& experience. The land is lush, fertile & green thanks to a number of volcanoes.
Not volcanic related but did you see thread about Canary Idlands having crazy sandstorms, fires & landslides? Hope volcanic activity doesn’t decide to act up & join in on the fun.
