Not completely. After 17 years of marriage my wife and I got divorced. She cheated multiple times and that was a game changer. The kids decided to live with me which was a blessing. I didn’t even think about finding someone else or acted on it for over a year.

I found someone I knew who was 8 years younger than me when I was politically active. She was running for office and I became her campaign manager. I went to school with her older brother. She was beautiful, intelligent and an amazing person to be around. We fell in love and it was extremely crazy and passionate for both of us.

About 2 years later she was diagnosed with terminal cancer right after I just moved to another state with a great employment opportunity with plans of her and her young boys joining me. That didn’t happen as she fought courageously. She passed away and it killed me to a large degree. Even more than divorcing my wife who I loved deeply.

Still not over it completely nearly 3 years later. She was the one for sure.
