Shows like "The Bachelor and the Bachelorette" paint a fairy tale where life isn't like that at all. Relationships are hard and it takes work to maintain them.
Quoting: chuckles45 True. Drama, scandal, drinking games. The "contestants" are at exotic locations and have extravagant dates that most normal people cannot afford and yes, paint some fantasy romance out of fairytales. Latest Bachelorette season has a floozie picking boytoys and dealing with a toxic NPD and NOT PICKING the marriage material guy!!! Classic. Finally the show is displaying what the Unrealistic Standards are and the audience is noticing. But the producers aren't clarifying, allowing the audience what is right and better choices are personally. Shows like that only help project the illusion. One of life's lessons is to learn how to separate fantasy like the show from reality. Good gauge to see how popular the fantasy shows are.
