Got a few questions that you GLP entrepreneurs might be able to answer. Having been in sales most my life, I had to learn to think outside-the-box in finding leads. I'd usually work boiler room type jobs where management would hand us big huge stacks of yellow page listings and tell us to go nuts and 'always be closing'. But when I'd call, half the numbers are outdated and then the people I do talk to are so annoyed and fed up with every sales person in a tri state area calling them it'd be a miracle just to get someone willing to even hear you out. Quoting: C. M. M. So long story short I developed a tried and true technique of generating listings every week (sometimes daily) of brand new businesses that are just barely opening up, all around the dallas fort worth metroplex. Some of these people haven't even opened their doors yet. But I get these listings complete with owner contact info, street address, etc for just about every city in the metroplex and all together it adds up to roughly 150-200 new 'leads' every week that are guaranteed new businesses. I've toyed with the idea of selling these leads for a long time but just never got off my ass to give it a real honest effort until I finally just made a website, created a presentation, compiled a finalized database of every listing from the past week ready to pitch to sales reps and contractors, including a mini report of 15 leads that I ask them to try out so they can see these are, in fact, new businesses and not regurgitated phone book listings or something. I dont want to oversaturate the market with them either so I've mapped out different sectors of industry (security, janitorial, office supplies/furniture, P.O.S. systems, etc etc) where I will find a sales rep or contractor to represent each sector and offer them the exclusivity as well so they know that they are the only..say..commercial window washer that I'm selling these leads to and actually stick to that promise! Do any of you have any pointers? I guess what I'd like to know would be WHO, in your expertise and opinion, would be most interested in new business leads? I would! Yes, I'm serious.... How can I find your website? But to your question, anyone who has product or services to sell to other business owners is the obvious answer. Specifics? Insurance agents, especially those like myself who focus on business insurance. Marketing companies etc., of course. That would be just a couple. I feel like you're on to something here and I really appreciate the suggestion just explain what you have in mind here. well you seek out distributors of products that focus on start-ups or new businesses. setup a meeting, tell them that you have developed a program that allows you to target these businesses, often before the doors even open in specific target markets that you define. tell them its a proprietary technology that you have developed and you would like a sales agreement to present and sell theyre product. a lot of companies sign up 3rd party sales firms. it saves them money and time. |

I'll look into these! Look for long tail residuals, where you get paid for the life of the customer. That will generate large lifetime value. -Insurance -Telephone services -anything that bills monthly with a high number. You'll get a percentage and as long as it's something everyone needs, you'll generate revenue very quickly. You can either get an upfront, one time payment, or a rev share for the life of the customer. You are talking about doing lead generation and when you find the right product that matches your list, bingo! Good luck!! Got a few questions that you GLP entrepreneurs might be able to answer. Based on my experience, nobody buy leads. I even created FREE website lead generators for niche clients and provided them leads. I would charge $25/per lead. Unfortunately, most business don't have sales CLOSERS. They don't know how to close a sale. The simple ABC's of business! If they didn't close they wouldn't pay me. That's not my problem. When you do jobs like telemarketing or running your own business you'll ALWAYS BE CLOSING! They would propose a percentage of the sale but if they never close the sale than the percentage is zero! |

Quoting: tibetbill 77798507 Do you expect anyone to take you serious with a wordpress site? I will. The WordPress is just temporary. He just needs to buy a domain name for 18 bucks and it'll be a legit website via wordpress. Not sure why this wasnt done. Its cheap and if you get a business plan, you get a legit company email as we.. all through wordpress. No need to start from scratch. |

Sounds like your "business" is simply parasiting off the real work of others. You aren't offering anything of value to others. You are trying to talk them into something for merely your own gain, not anything that is going to help them or their business significantly. Try offering something of real value to others or your "network" will quickly tire of you. |
