There’s a business owner I talked to a while back that did lead generation. He took it a step further and rather than selling leads, he would do the initial leg work for his clients to turn them into qualified leads. So by the time the business owner was getting involved with the leads, it was pretty much already a done deal and just needed closed.

Thank you for the UI design inspiration. I am starting this business very much from scratch and truth be told I dont even have the money to register a proper domain. However, I've been cold calling sales reps and contractors from Craigslist and already got five very interested people who requested more information. Two of them already are talking about pricing. One guy wants me to build him a website. I do have experience in blog/web development and social media marketing management for small businesses. As soon as I have more income I will get the web domain and build a proper website that isnt a free WordPress layout.

You know I was just thinking about this. See, these leads are brand new businesses that have just applied for a particular kind of permit with the city that is required for them to open their establishment. Often times the doors haven't even been opened yet. I feel like offering some kind of concierge type service where I am checking in to see what their needs are. Ask them if they've considered options for marketing, contractors, when they think they're going to start looking to hire employees, would they take temps etc. Just get to know them and then hook them up with a contractor that can meet that need!

Good deal! Get that hustle going and don't stop! I do webdesign as well as M&A (marketing and advertising) for small businesses up in the PNW- you are absolutely on to something of significant value.

Look into local small business groups that have weekly/monthly meetings and try to attend a breakfast with them. Start your own SBO (small business owners) group and network through them. Keep tapping into all of the resources at your disposal and you will succeed. If there were any suggestions that I could add, it would be tapping into the marketing world in your area, because what you have created is gold.
