Highly recommend, although at first it'll be annoying having your tracker getting on you about going for a walk :) It's nice to have. Hopefully one day there will be one that does heart rate as well as blood pressure and could send alarms to phone at higher or low levels. |

It provides no privacy whatsoever, in fact they own all the data and then some, and will use it for their profit. Plus it tracks every move on Google maps so good luck Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76509910 My guess is you're already signed up for all of that with your basic cell phone, so yeah. |

Seems like you can't get away from it, ya know? But no, that's not going to stop me, because we are watched and surveilled up one side and down the other anyway. The older Fitbit Charge HR? Something else? I have an automatic BP machine already...I could even take that with me where ever I go, it's battery operated, but yeah, it'd be nice to have the BP monitored all day from the same monitoring device. As well, I'm restarting cardio rehab, too. I've looked at the different products at Best Buy and on the net, but I'm thinking the Fitbit Charge 2 might be my best bang for the buck....$150. That's $50 more than I was thinking of spending, but if my buds here at GLP sing its praises, then it will be worth it. Or, if any of you have any other suggestions of a product like the Fitbit at the same or less price, then please do let me know. I'll check them out also. Thank you, and happy day to youse guyses.... I did but I found it to be inaccurate. I wear a Polar heart monitor chest strap now during exercise and it is very accurate. Do not thump the book of G'Quan Oh and, Fuck Joe Biden! |

It really depends what the cardiologist says about this tomorrow. I may not even need something like that...but it is cool! One of my bosses has the first unit, and he's tested me before. My question is when something feels wonky an personal ECG reads you may have skipped a beat or something like that, what's the point in knowing? If you go the hospital they'll just tell you that yes, your heart isn't perfect and you've probably skipped a beat, have arrythmia, or are having those PCVS's or whatever they are called. My opinion is that all those things do it give a person more anxiety waiting for that reading that tells them "yup you're fucked." Live life with common sense and do the right things for your health and skip the personal anxiety meter. |

Quoting: Kingzzor Simple, just run and work out without the metrics. Use a mirror and a scale. This x100. If you're exercising and feel like you're about to stroke out or something, skip the ECG and stop working out until you've regained your breath and heart rate. Work out in reasonable amounts and work up slowly. My advice for people worried about their health is to stop thinking about their health and start DOING their health right. |

True, you could skip the scale entirely and just start exercising more and eating more healthy. Many skinny people with heart conditions because of undiagnosed auto-immune disorders or lack of cardio exercise. Skinny people often think they don't need to get up and move around as much but that couldn't be further from the truth. Even if you're skin and bones your cardio will take a hit from an inactive lifestyle. |

I have a pacemaker/ defibrillator. So when I work out I monitor my heart rate so my device doesnt shock me and make me piss down my leg in the middle of the gym haha. It works great. Mine can also monitor arrhythmia. Which I rarely have because I got myself back into decent shape. The device is just a fail safe.
