Captain desperate shit posting again.

You guys ever watch his “rubetube” vids?

First, you can’t use those as arguments towards snake, because he will call it “rubetube” rendering it invalid

Secondly, his videos are spliced up garbage, much like all supposed proofs of heliocentric/satanic reality

Snake, do you worship Satan? Real question

This is an interesting subject worthy of debate but why can’t we all express our views without calling each other names? Just talk to each other, no need for name calling at all!!!

Re: A friend of mine believes that the Earth is flat. I challenged him to prove it by walking off the edge...
It's very easy to prove flat, Simply hold a straight edge up to the horizon, if it's flat, level, straight = earth flat. See ANY curve, = globe.. She flat folks...
 Quoting: blue leaf 11852964

straight edge: [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)]

I grabbed one of the guys and tried to hold him up to the horizon. He was furious fighting me and at the end I gave up and released him.

Do you have any other prove for a flat earth? Even if you get a small guy, it's difficult to hold them up to the horizon, they just won't stay level.

How long is a "straightedge" (yes, sometimes orthography matters)? 30 centimetres? May be 50 centimetres?

Now tell me:
What is the angular size of a straightedge, held at arm length, at the horizon?
How many kilometres or what part of the circumference of earth does that represent at the horizon?
What's the height of the resulting circular segment?
Should you be able to see it?

I hope you can do some simple trigonometry (but I guess "no" - otherwise you wouldn't be a flattard).

Re: A friend of mine believes that the Earth is flat. I challenged him to prove it by walking off the edge...
The proof is so simple any half wit can run the experiment:

All you need is a camera with a sun filter.

1) Take a picture of the sun every hour from sunrise to sunset using the sun filter

2) compare the relative size of the sun on every picture.

You will notice to your amazement that the sun's relative size does not change throughout the day

Consequences:

The relative distance between your camera and the sun throughout the day is always the same.

This means:

->The sun does not move relative to the earth.
->The sun is very far away from the earth
->the earth cannot be a flat pancake
->Only possible shape the earth can be is a rotating globe.
 Quoting: JADR+

The sun size does change. There’s a video in this thread showing it. Lol

Sorry - main condition for sun size evidence is to take the image through a sun filter.

Without a sun filter, a bright object will always appear bigger than a dim object of the same size.

LHP, thinks he’s so advanced that we can’t conceptualize what he’s saying . He thinks his 360 degree view should be flat on the horizon on a SPHERE!!!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74189820

I said the horizon would appear flat. There is a difference.

I agree it would be on a plane. But this asshole thinks that our view from 2m, which can see about 4 mi of horizon, would be a level one on a land mass that falls off 8” per mile ^2
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74189820

See post above. If every point on the horizon has fallen off the same amount, where are you seeing a curve left to right?

What a fool. This same calculation he would use to show ships falling offf the edge and out of view

Yet, 2 ships at the opposite end of this horizon are fine and can see each other because it’s a flat circle.

A mirror Sun flash can be seen 30 miles, much farther with a telescope. The record distance was established by the U.S. Signal Corps, 183 miles, seen a great distance below the supposed Earth curve.

All your stupidity is illustrated by the fact anyone who isn’t a dumb fuck like you can feel the sun is closer at noon than sunset

No need for anything imaginary like you bring to the table

Go out your door tomorrow around noon

Go out again at 8pm

Tell me which one has a closer, warmer feeling

Wow, so we don’t see a left to right curve, just the one that falls off in front of us? What a special sphere and perspective you’ve created!

LHP world - it may look flat but it’s really a ball and it’s spinning too, even though you can’t feel it. Just trust him!

You would be able to measure earth curve on a horizon

There is no denying it. No tricks, nothing. It would be self evident

We don’t live on a ball. There are no straight lines on a ball.

So you can't answer the question then? If your horizon falls off at the same distance all around you then what part is lower than another to show a curve?

Still waiting on that computer program.

Lol, okay straight line sphere boy. Good stuff, sock puppet

Not a sock of anyone. and you're still avoiding the question. Interesting.

Okay sock. I am avoiding your straight lines on a spherical body shit for a reason. It’s trash. Sign in to your other account sock

so the sun is hotter when going through less atmosphere and direct than when going through more and at an angle. So what?

Still not a sock. But it is sad that you feel you have to resort to the shill gambit. You can't answer it. That is why you aren't. But thanks for the humor!

If everything fell off the horizon would curve looking straight ahead. It would show the curve because the end points of the horizon line would fall farther than the center point

There’s your answer sock puppet. Are you astros or snakes sock?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75162415

Still not a sock. The shill gambit only makes you look desperate.

Why would the sides fall farther? That could only happen if the sides are farther away than the center. How would the horizon be farther away on the sides than the center when the distance to the horizon is based on elevation? Nope. The horizon is at the same distance all around you. All points around you fall off the same amount.
