Charlatan,

I will not allow you to equate 2-Spheres with 3-Balls (i.e. 2 dimension geometry of surface and 3D geometry of solid bodies) just because you have been conditioned with globes and bought into the incessant lies about "Outer Space"
2-Spheres and 3-Balls geometry share certain equations and theorems making discernment difficult and confusing (using maths).
Surfaces and volumes are very different things and should never be equated in mathematical reasoning or compared to each other.

A 2-Sphere cannot contain any water, being itself only a surface. Apparently the 3-Ball has large bodies of water taking the shape of its exterior (held together by nonsensical fictional forces).
All this is contrary to repeatable, observable, constant and uniform laws of nature. Water always takes the shape of its container. This is an obvious fact and for you to refute this is absurd to common reasoning. Prove this isn't happening.

Gas Pressure:- do you know what pressure is? Genuine question; because your logic when faced with the obvious statement that gas pressure must have a container you seem to invoke all kinds of illogical assumptions and weird notions to back up an idea you have no demonstrable backing for.

Fuck you

Henhouse dweller,

spouting a lot of nonsensical pseudo-scientific bla-bla doesn't let you look intelligent - quite the opposite.

Sorry, but I don't believe a psychotic henhouse dweller who can't prove any of his claims.

I don't have to prove anything.

It was you who claimed that water always displays a flat surface and water can't bend and water can't display convexity.

Prove it. Practical demonstration of the claims made. Simple. No pseudo science.

And what's your point (besides the repeat of your claim that there is a container around Earth)?

Still no poof of your claim that there is a container around earth.
Again. prove it. Practical demonstration of the claims made. Simple. No pseudo science.

Re: A friend of mine believes that the Earth is flat. I challenged him to prove it by walking off the edge...
There's an easy way to definitely put an end to this debate.

An experiment must be done with a telescope during a perfectly clear day, starting when the sun rises on the eastern side of America.

A fairly big ship would travel in a straight line from the eastern most point in Canada, towards Europe.

The telescope would stand from a decent height, say 150 feet above see level.

If the telescope can't catch a glimpse of the ship went it reaches around 500 miles out, then the flat earth enthusiasts will have to concede.

On the other hand if a visual is possible as far out as 500 miles, then the planet being regarded as a globe would make no sense anymore.

Simple question can you describe and define pressure?

Very good Charlatan.

I make no claims to know the shape of the earth. You are trying desperately to channel this to me proving the earth is flat. I'm questioning the validity of the claim I live on a ball. The claim is absurd and ridiculous. It, literally, holds no water.

The most common defence of the claim is to try to attach something to attack, that in itself is rather telling.
You do not know you live on a ball you just think you do. Most don't subscribe to your paid to post propaganda anymore. Your ignorance and cult behavior is more than obvious. You are a clown.

You cant even give your definition of pressure.

you really don't need any practical demonstration.

There are never a high pressure/low pressure system next to each other harmoniously without a barrier. Gas particles seek equilibrium. One becomes the other. Happens everywhere except in the "ball earth" paradox where we are to believe we're surrounded by a near perfect vacuum void.

It is comical, isn't it? These same folks call us that challenge the heliocentric worldview as "insane", "dumb", "ignorant", etc..

However, on every forum there are always a few of them that pounce on every challenge, spewing the same shit.

Nowhere, does anyone with any sanity, sit and argue with people they view as idiots or mentally challenged.

That's fucking absurd. I don't go around to unicorn forums and fight with the believers. Who cares?

That is why they are shills. And everyone can see them for who they are. Full of anger and lies. What a sad life

You decide.

An actual picture I took of a lunar eclipse. Notice the round, slightly fuzzy shadow.

Lame try to divert from your inability to prove your claims, henhouse dweller.

You make the claims that water always displays a flat surface and water can't bend and water can't display convexity.

Up to now you didn't provide any evidence for your claims, the only thing you do is repeating your claims like a mantra.

And as I said before: I don't believe the words of a psychotic weirdo, living in a henhouse.
I want prove, practical demonstration of the claims made. Simple. No pseudo science.

...

And I'm questioning the validity of the claim, you are a sane person. The claim is absurd and ridiculous. It, literally, holds no water.

...

Another claim, I am sure, you won't provide any evidence for.

Aaaand the shill gambit. Yep, the shill gambit is for pathetic losers - you lost, henhouse dweller.

...

Why should I? - I never mentioned the word "pressure".

But you made the claim that "You cannot have gas pressure without a container.....ever." and you constantly refuse to provide evidence for your claim.

Prove it, practical demonstration of the claim made. Simple. No pseudo science.
 Quoting: Hydra

Proof of everything I wrote, well done at least you are consistent.
There is nothing i have to prove. That it is the experience of every person alive with regards to water. I do not need verification for this - it simply is. Now if I was to suggest against these well known properties of water then I would be duty bound to practically demonstrate that, I do not suggest elasticity, conformation to shape or convexity. That would be absurd.
 Quoting: BTBIC 77929005

And once again for the umpteenth time, and I will repeat it until you get it into your pighead: I don't believe the words of a weirdo, living in a henhouse - I want proof of your claims.

I want proof of your claims that water always displays a flat surface, that water can't bend, that water can't display convexity and that Earth is covered by a dome.
I want a practical demonstration of the claims made. Simple. No pseudo science.

"The shill gambit" is there for all to see.
 Quoting: BTBIC 77929005

Yep, the shill gambit is there for all to see: I wasn't the one who called you a shill, it was you who called me a shill.

Shill gambit = loser - you lost, henhouse dweller.

Stalker, cut the copy n paste garb. Come speak too me, or are afraid to talk to me? You would be shown up for the intellectual dishonest little shit you are in about 2 minutes and you know it.....shitebag
 Quoting: BTBIC 77929005

I'm not here to debate you, I'm here to expose your hypocrisy: While you demand proof (Practical demonstration of the claims made. Simple. No pseudo science.) from everybody who makes a claim regarding a spherical earth, you yourself don't provide any evidence for your claims - mantra like repeating your claims is not proof.

And what would be the benefit for me (and others who refuse to believe in your shit) if I talk to you instead of exposing your hypocrisy in this forum? Would you provide proof for the claims you made?

I have reason to doubt it. Start proving your claims here first.

Fuck you
 Quoting: BTBIC 77929005

In lieu of arguments this is the best you can come up with? You are getting boring, henhouse dweller.

Eventually the walls of that shed are going to fall down from all that rage. You've made claims about water that are contrary to reality and established evidence, it's up to you to support those claims.

Here's a demonstration of what happens to a depressurized tanker at ordinary sea level pressure. What would happen on the space station in a total vacuum?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70477606

Actually the Mythbusters had a fair bit of trouble re-creating that... They had to first cause a bit of structural damage to the tanker car to get it to fail and implode when they pulled a vacuum on it.

Furthermore, the pressure vessels of ISS are not tanker cars, they are designed to withstand the pressure difference.
 Quoting: Astroshill

I work with industrial vacuum dehydrators. I once hooked up to a 550 gallon solid steel tank filled with oil. I forgot to open the vent on the top of the tank before I established a deep vacuum (27 torr). I walked away for a few minutes. When I returned the tank was crushed. Vacuum is a very powerful force. I don't know what would happen if I tried to recreate this at a very high altitude but I don't believe that our atmosphere can exist in the vacuum of outer space. I'm not taking a position on FE.

you really don't need any practical demonstration.

There are never a high pressure/low pressure system next to each other harmoniously without a barrier. Gas particles seek equilibrium. One becomes the other. Happens everywhere except in the "ball earth" paradox where we are to believe we're surrounded by a near perfect vacuum void.

Incorrect. Vacuum is not a force. Ambient air pressure can exert a force. ISS is also pressurized from the inside, the vacuum outside exerts no force. ISS is engineered to withstand those forces on its internal pressure vessel. A generic steel tank is not necessarily designed to withstand that. What I said stands.
I don't believe that our atmosphere can exist in the vacuum of outer space.

Yes, 1 atm pressuring on a non-reinforced steel container around every square inch of its external surface does exert quite a lot of force if there's nothing inside. ISS was not designed with a pressure vessel that is just a regular can of steel. If you've never seen what a spaceship pressure vessel looks like then go take a look at the KSC visitor center on the right side of the Imax theater. They have an unused pressure vessel for Starliner on display.

Did I say I solved every mystery in the universe? No. Presence of mystery does not mean everything is a mystery. I don't need to know everything to know that a planet's atmosphere can exist even though space is effectively a vacuum.
Do you believe that a vacuum can exist if it is not contained?

Clearly it can. Look at the source code, there are no containers in my simulation, the particles will gladly keep going in whatever direction they want. The sides of the window are not barriers.
