I say that as someone who has a brother who has been deaf from birth and I know very well how it's been a constant drag on his enjoyment of life and OP? It's certainly not perfected at this point but only by trial and error will it ever be and you ain't seen nothing yet- designer geniuses and supermen within our lifetimes, no stopping it. |

Agreed for sure! It's all about coding. There have been many great computer programs made with codes that were later found to be faulty, it is the way it needs to be in order to perfect it. Just wanted to give this heads up that the gene editing programs are ramping up worldwide, and not just because of these 5 couples. It's expanding very quickly IMO the thing that's going to have the most impact at least initially is that for a while these techniques are only going to be affordable to the relatively well off, giving them the jump on society as a whole. Kind of brings to my mind the term 'master race', could get messy. |
