Quoting: OneSweetWorld Ha! I once lived on Knob Hill in San Francisco, but I moved due to too much noise late at night from a nearby gay disco-bar called “The White Swallow”. Their sign featured a silhouette of their namesake bird, the “Swallow”. It wasn’t until I saw their clientele, that I recognized the significance of the name.
