Kashmir is relatively peaceful only because of the Strict curfew in place. I am a local, I know things. Kashmir will erupt if there is any deal in curfew. Curfew can’t stay forever. Time will come when Kashmiris will come out. Things will go ugly. I pray good sense prevails.

As of now situation is tense but no war is going on.Do not pay attention to rumors and fake news.

Authenticity of this tape is also doubtful.Accent is nodoubt kashmiri one but i donot think this audio has been sent by someone staying in kashmir right now.

Curfew will stay in place atleast till Independence day on 15th august.May be authorities will give some relaxation on day of eid which is on 12th august.

Dr Ahmad Al Banna, the UAE ambassador to India: The reorganisation of states is not a unique incident in history of independent India & that it was mainly aimed at reducing regional disparity&improving efficiency. It is an internal matter as stipulated by the Indian Constitution.


At present i donot have link for this statement but if this is true then it is a huge blow to paki ambitions.They were hopeful of unconditional support from OIC but seems that they r giving preference to business over religion.

UAE has set up a underground reservoir in karnataka state of India for storing crude oil.India will get some fixed percentage of fuel stored there as rent for that facility.

Filing this brief dispatch with utmost difficulty: situation is calm in Kashmir, but there is a certain uneasiness. Curfew is not strictly enforced. Restrictions in place, but civilian movement is allowed. A few shops are open as well - fruit sellers, ice-cream vendors

Remember, all this is coming from reliable sources at this point. No official statement of any kind from Pakistani govt yet. No new NOTAM either. We will find out where the region is headed in next several hours. Diplomatic relations with India also being downgraded by Pakistan.
