Thirty Foot Tall Flower Spike Right Here (vid)
This guy turned up in my suggested videos on youtube, not sure why. I like his presentation it is more than down to earth and his strong (New Jersey?) east coast accent.

Here he is walking through a botanical garden somewhere with many impressive large species in the bromeliad family, one of which is blooming with a thirty foot tall inflorescence:

Hey I'm glad you recognized that guy. Wasn't he great with that coyote pup? A real naturalist through and through.

Thanks for the contribution.

If I was good I would go search the original video from the Crime Pays Botany Doesn't channel, the one you posted is a clip that someone else "stole" and uploaded. Anyway here's the description from the one you uploaded (reading through it he's a real jack of all trades, being a locomotive engineer, cool job!)

An amateur botanist got more than he expected when he took a stroll through the fields and came across an abandoned coyote puppy in desperate need of his help.

Locomotive engineer Joey Santore, 36, likes to unwind by taking a stroll and recording his botany adventures around California.

But on one eventual trip to Siskiyou County on June 23, Joey stumbled across a young, emaciated coyote, desperately trying to run away.

Quickly realising that the pup was all alone and there were no other puppies or parents around, Joey decided to chase after the spooked animal.
