They buy the cartridges for whipped cream dispensers. A little adapter lets you release the nitrous into a balloon, then you inhale it. Or you know a kid who's dad is a dentist and he steals the tank and fills balloons for everybody.

Its hardly a new drug people have been inhaling nitrous oxide to get high since the 1800s. It acts a short dissociative drug that higtens the effects of psychedelics like LSD and dissociatives like ketamine. Its a cheap short high. I spent many years inhaling nitrous

I had a dentist living next door to me in Detroit. He used to get those canisters filled for forty bucks. I was like 15 or 16 mind you. We were sitting around and passing the mask when his wife hogged her turn. She passed out and bounced off the ground. I couldn't stop laughing!

I wouldn't let my girlfriend try it! So there's that!
