I agree with what Trinity says here. I would also add that the killers who leave a manifesto are looking for fame. The New Zealand killer also left a manifesto which was not published and so he will not be remembered for his thoughts. There seems to be a copy cat flavour to all of these shootings. These guys want to be remembered and there are lots out there who feel useless and with no way of being recognised other than shooting people and leaving thoughts for others to follow and do the same kind of thing.

A lot of young people are not taught the "proper" way to do much of anything.

TOTAL LACK OF PARENTING is to blame for a lot of this. Parents are supposed to teach their children to deal with disappointments in a healthy manner. They are supposed to teach their children to be true to a good sense of morals and decency.

Half of the world's children (and more than half of the U.S.) aren't being "parented" at all! Parents have abdicated their responsibilities in a lot of areas. I've been saying this for a long time. As a teacher, I see it in schools. kids don't know their own home address or phone number.....I'm talking 10, 11, 12 year olds!! Do parents never think their kids will be lost and need to tell a cop or other adult where they live in order to help them get home?!? Or tell anyone where they live if there is an emergency at their home?!?!

Parents should be teaching their children how to deal with rejection from peers - starting from a young age. But, oh no! Parents today WON"T let their children experience ANY of the negative things that make us stronger human beings, able to navigate through the muck and don't let others' opinions of us drag us down. Parents WON'T let their babies lose a game or NOT get the reward for just participating. So the kids have NO background knowledge to draw from when anything "goes wrong" in their world.

Parents aren't "helping" their kids grow up when they act like this....they are actually CRIPPLING them. Turning them in to emotional midgets.

'The government' absolutely is not behind every stupid and crazy thing that individuals do.
